Festivals are a core component of modern Greek culture. Rather than modern concept festivals, they involve traditional music, dance, costumes and food taking place in various religious and social occasions. The word that defines festivals (or commonly “panigyri”) is “kefi”, a non translatable word that you will have to experience its definition yourself.
