Parks

Although there is a wide array of designated dog parks to choose from, we picked out those that offer you the very best of Athens. Starting out from the city centre, the Eleftheria’s Park, reachable with the blue line at Megaro Mousikis stop is the perfect place for making new friends as young people and their companions enjoy the lovely weather on picnic blankets and tiny speakers. The Athens Concert Hall and the Athens Book Space are just a minute away, offering you a chance to explore culture at its’ very finest.

In southern Athens, the Stavros Niarchos Cultural Centre offers green spaces for endless fetching fun amongst incredible outdoor summer concerts, athletic events, all night parties and movie screenings. The SNFCC is reachable with shuttle bus from Syggrou Fix Metro stop or by most buses and trolleys that pass through the same stop above the ground. Interested in playing with a view to the sea? In Piraeus there’s a designated dog part in the Marina Flisvos, the beautiful yacht port that’s packed with restaurants and cafes.

Pet friendly Accommodation

The COCO-MAT Luxury Hotels in main locations of Athens offer you and your pet a stylish stay paired with a good night’s sleep. Among the various services at hand, the hotel is pet friendly, promotes green living (you can use their special bikes to get around) and has a strict non smoking policy. The main hotel’s position in Kolonaki, the most luxurious part of the centre, its elite decorations, mattress quality and a roof garden with a view to the Acropolis will make your stay unforgettable.

The Electra Metropolis Hotel (Mitropoleos 15) is another perfect alternative for your stay. Some rooms offer a view of the athenian skyline as well as the Acropolis while the hotel’s location allows you to visit all the sites you shouldn’t miss out on if you have a limited time in the capital. The hotel features a wellness center where you can relax in the indoor pool or work out respectively.

Concierge Apartments (Agias Theklas 8) in Monastiraki offer rooms for the whole family – including your pet. These urban decorated spaces are within walkable distance to all highlights of the center. Don’t miss out on their top rated, highly instagrammable breakfast.

Cafes and more

In downtown Athens and its’ hip areas there’s good coffee and snacks for everyone including you and your pet best friend. Just a short walk from our agency, Anana cafe and Wild Souls offer vegetarian and vegan options for you and delicious treats for your dog. You will catch up with other dog parents at Beaver in Gazi, a women owned and ran space with plenty of interesting social events. In the hip, buzzing areas of Kypseli and Pagrati you will find plenty of gorgeous cafes and bars with outdoor seating to enjoy the warm weather together.

Want to experience something special? The Cat Cafe in Gazi is a special place for all cat lovers of the capital. The menu options are quite limited here and that’s on purpose because for a designated amount of time you can hang out and play with the many kittens chilling on the couches and chairs. What’s special about this space is that it works as an adoption center where you can get to know your new best friend and eventually take them home. Stopping by already helps out financially with taking care of the strays of the area. Come say hi!

In aforementioned Pagrati you will also find the Ris Project, a boutique/patisserie just for your dog, offering special treats, cakes, doughnuts and cupcakes that will certainly make you want to steal a bite.
