Up until today the festival has managed to satisfy nearly all tastes bringing over artists not limited to: Alice in Chains, New Order, Bauhaus, Fontaines D.C., Slipknot, Wu-Tang Clan, Hozier, Central Cee, ROSALIA, Slipknot, PJ Harvey, Judas Priest, Manowar and many many more. Release Athens is famous among fans of heavy meta; music since it provides a rich lineup each and every year as well as alternative pop and rock music fans for bringing over all time classic artists and fresh headliners.

Ever since 2205 EJEKT Festival has been updated when it comes to alternative rock and popular music. They may not be big among punks, metalheads and hip hop fans but they have managed to make our summer nights unforgettable. With artists spanning from: The Cure, Florence and the Machine, Bring me the Horizon, Maneskin, Korn, Pixies, MUSE, Amy Winehouse and Moby it’s a challenge to not book your tickets immediately.

What other music is there in Athens?
The Athenian music scene is vast with a massive pool of local hip hop artists that usually perform in Technopolis of Athens, Onasis Stegi and SNFCC other than smaller venues. Punk and smaller indie bands as well as a post punk scene have emerged in the last decade waiting for you to give them a listen. Apart from that, greek folk and indie artists with a twist play all over small bars in hip areas- their posters however can usually be found on Instagram.

What should I bring with me at the concert?
Due to the incredible heat especially during July you absolutely must take protection against the sun:
-Bring a hat and sunglasses
-Bring bottles of cold water
-Wear sunscreen
-Get a hand fan
-Wear light clothing such us tank tops, shorts and comfortable shoes
Don’t forget to bring your camera for awesome snapshots, your favorite band tee and a good festival mood.
